On Wednesday legendary guitar hero Johnny Marr performed with Bryan Ferry at a lavish Charity Ball in Versailles. Russian supermodel Natalia Vodianova invited Bryan to play at her annual Naked Heart Foundation ‘Love Ball’. The Theme was a ‘Winter Fairy Tale’ and millions of pounds were raised for Vodianova’s Russian charity, www.nakedheart.org
Ferry first met Marr in 1987 when he played on the Bete Noir album. Sadly there was no Bete Noir Tour as such, so Marr never played live with Bryan, except for a handful of TV appearances.
Bryan and his band played a high-tempo set with Marr joining Olympia guitarists Oliver Thompson and Chris Spedding.
Ferry’s ‘Shameless’ collaborators Groove Armada ending the night with an energetic set of Disco Music.
